What is color temperature (Kelvin), and why does it matter?

Color temperature (measured in Kelvin, K) determines how warm or cool a light appears:

  • 2700K–3000K (Warm White): Cozy, yellowish light
  • 4000K (Neutral White): Balanced, natural light
  • 5000K–6500K (Cool/Daylight): Bright, bluish-white light

It affects mood, comfort, and functionality in a space.

Which light color is best for bedrooms?

Warm white (2700K–3000K) is ideal. It creates a relaxing and comfortable environment, suitable for winding down and sleep.

What light color should I use for living rooms?

Use warm to neutral white (3000K–4000K).

  • Warm for a cozy vibe
  • Neutral if you want a brighter, more functional space
What is the best light for studying or working?

Neutral to cool white (4000K–5000K) is recommended.

It improves focus, reduces eye strain, and mimics daylight conditions.

Is cool white or warm white better for desk lamps?

For desk lamps:

  • 4000K–5000K (Neutral/Cool) → Best for productivity and reading
  • Avoid very warm light as it may cause drowsiness over long periods
How bright should my ceiling light be?

Brightness is measured in lumens:

  • Bedroom: ~1,500–3,000 lumens
  • Living room: ~3,000–6,000 lumens
  • Kitchen: ~4,000–8,000 lumens

Depends on room size and ceiling height.

How bright should a desk lamp be?

A desk lamp should typically provide 400–800 lumens, enough for focused lighting without glare.

Does higher wattage mean brighter light?

Not necessarily.

  • Wattage = energy consumption
  • Lumens = brightness

LED lights use lower wattage but produce higher brightness.

What is the best light for studying or working?

Neutral to cool white (4000K–5000K) is recommended.

It improves focus, reduces eye strain, and mimics daylight conditions.

Should I choose adjustable brightness (dimmable) lights?

Yes. Dimmable lights give you flexibility for different moods and uses (work, relax, sleep).

Why does lighting look different in photos vs real life?

Camera settings and screen displays can alter color perception. Real-life lighting may appear warmer or cooler.

How do I choose between a ceiling light or ceiling fan with light?
  • Choose a ceiling light if you already have good airflow (e.g. aircon-heavy homes)
  • Choose a ceiling fan with light if you want both cooling and illumination in one fixture—ideal for bedrooms and living rooms in Singapore
Are ceiling fans suitable for HDB or BTO flats?

Yes. Most ceiling fans are designed to be compatible with HDB flats. However:

  • Ensure your ceiling height is at least 2.4m
  • Flush-mount (hugger) fans are recommended for low ceilings
What fan size should I get for my room?

General guideline:

  • Small rooms (≤10 sqm): 36–42 inches
  • Medium rooms (10–20 sqm): 44–52 inches
  • Large rooms (>20 sqm): 52–60 inches

Choosing the right size ensures optimal airflow efficiency.

Do ceiling fans actually cool the room?

Ceiling fans do not lower temperature but improve air circulation, making you feel cooler through evaporation.

Are DC fans better than AC fans?

Yes, DC (Direct Current) fans are generally:

  • More energy-efficient
  • Quieter
  • Offer more speed settings

They are ideal for modern homes in Singapore.

How much electricity does a ceiling fan use?

DC fans typically consume 15–35W, much lower than air conditioners, making them cost-efficient for daily use.

Are the lights bright enough for the whole room?

Most integrated/non-integrated LED lights are sufficient for general lighting, but for larger rooms, you may still need additional lighting.

Can I change the light color (warm/white/daylight)?

Our ceiling lights and fans offer:

  • Adjustable color temperature (CCT)
  • Remote or app control

Check product specifications before purchase.

Are LED ceiling lights replaceable?

Yes, our models have replaceable LED modules. Contact us to arrange for replacement.

Are ceiling fans noisy?

Quality DC fans are designed to be ultra-quiet. Noise may occur if:

  • Installation is improper
  • Blades are unbalanced
How do I clean and maintain my ceiling fan?
  • Turn off power before cleaning
  • Use a dry or slightly damp cloth
  • Clean blades regularly to prevent dust buildup
How often should I service my fan?

Basic cleaning every 3 months is sufficient. Professional servicing is rarely needed unless issues arise.

Are ceiling fans safe for homes with kids?

Yes, when properly installed. Ensure:

  • Secure mounting
  • Adequate height clearance
What happens if the fan falls? Is it common?

This is extremely rare if installed correctly. Always use a licensed installer and proper mounting hardware.

What should I prioritise when choosing a ceiling fan?
  • Room size compatibility
  • Motor type (DC preferred)
  • Noise level
  • Design & blade material
Are cheaper fans worth it?

Lower-cost fans may:

  • Be noisier
  • Consume more energy
  • Have shorter lifespan

For long-term use, investing in a reliable model is more cost-effective.
